To commemorate the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the 'World Anti-Fascist War 70th anniversary of Victory' from September 2nd a "magnificent" grand outdoor exhibition has been set up in Martyrs Park. So far, officials estimate that nearly a million people have passed through to view it.

The exhibition, organised by the Hunan Daily, Changsha Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department, Hunan Daily News Imaging Center, Hunan Youth Photographers Association, Changsha Garden Authority, Photography Association of Colleges and various Universities contractors, is considered a "historical testimony" to those who lived through the war and endured Japanese occupation. 400 meters and nearly 200 photos with descriptions talk about the battles in Changsha, Changde, Hengyang and the Xiangxi Battle. The show is on display near the South Gate of the park but it is unknown for how long at present.
