CITY WALL SECTION UNEARTHED IN CHANGSHA
- - - -
Close to Changsha's 'youth Palace' (Zhongshan and Huang Xing Lu) is the discovery of, possibly, a small section of the lost city wall of Changsha. These wall elements may date as far back as the Wei, Jin, and Southern dynasties period with aspects of, potentially, Tang dynasty era 'sand bricks'. These rampart remnants run for around 48.7m with a width of 8.8 m. Although the wall is in a pretty bad way, efforts are now being made to investigate the structure further.
